Loading of nuclear fuel into the reactor of the second nuclear power plant unit

The first fuel rod array with fresh nuclear fuel was inserted into the reactor core of the second unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant at 10:11 on 22 December. The step began the physical launch of the unit. The main purpose of the stage is to confirm the unit’s reliability and safe operation at design parameters.
